Zoe-perry

Perry is the daughter of actors Laurie Metcalf, and Jeff Perry. Her first roles on television were two appearances in the role of Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) on the ABC sitcom Roseanne which was played by her mom. Because of their fear of stress, the parents were not keen to let her pursue acting before turning 18. Perry was shy during high school and did not act. Her first acting experience was at Northwestern University to gain friends as she moved to the university from Boston University. Perry went on to New York, where she got small roles on shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Home sickiness brought Perry home to California, where theater jobs were available. The Other Place was performed by her mother and her on Broadway in 2013 She performed with her father Kevin McKidd and Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in 2015 in the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, West Los Angeles. Perry was in nine episodes of the ABC thriller The Family in 2016. Perry was a regular character in the ABC political drama Scandal that starred her dad. In the same year, she played a young version of Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (a CBS spinoff The Big Bang Theory) as her mother in a youthful version. The part was offered by audition regardless of the fact that she was a cousin to the character.
