Tina Louise has been a writer, singer, and actress in America for more than 40 years. Her most well-known role is because of her portrayal as Ginger Grant (in the 60s television show Gilligan's Island). In the 1950s she began her professional career as an actor on stage in Bettle Davis' show Two's Company. In the following years, she appeared in many Broadway productions, before becoming big on the national theatre area with Li'l abner's in 1957. In the year 1957, she released her debut music album called It's time for Tina. Her first appearance into Hollywood was as Griselda in God's Little Acre which was a 1958 drama. The film was met with wide praise. Louise won the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the year category. At the time, she enrolled into Actors Studio in New York and developed her association with Lee Strasberg as his student. Her most memorable performance came in 1964. The actress signed with CBS to play Ginger Grant. Louise Balfour managed to play between Broadway as well as Hollywood acting as a sombre character contrast to her image of the glamorous model. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 as Helen Magnus and Sanctuary. In recent times, she was also a prominent director of popular television programs like Supernatural and The 100. Born in Essex, Ontario on 28th August 1965, her family moved to Toronto at the age of three. The city was her home for the duration of her childhood in Toronto and through her teenage years. After being chosen for the role as Samantha Carter, she moved to Vancouver in 1997, and has lived there from then on.
