Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco is an American-Canadian singer-songwriter. She has produced over 20 albums of studio work. The songs of DiFranco are classified as folk and alternative rock. But, they are influenced by hip-hop music, jazz and punk. Ani diFranco was the first musician to start her own record label in 1990. Ani is widely considered to be a feminist icon. DiFranco's parents, Elizabeth (Ross), a previous student at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Dante Americo DiFranco met each one another while each attending. Her mother and father were both from Montreal from Montreal. The song by Ani, 32 Flavors, was composed by her, and performed by Ani. The track was first released on her 1995 sixth studio album Not a Pretty Girl. It was also featured on the soundtrack for the Canadian romantic comedy Better Than Chocolate, released in 1999. DiFranco apologized in 2013 after it was revealed that she was planning to hold an event for three days at the Louisiana slave plantation. The workshop was cancelled, however many (including this piece) didn't detect remorse. DiFranco offered a second apology a few days later. Little Folksinger is an artist who has worked with musicians ranging from Pete Seeger, Chuck D and Prince. The singer lives in New Orleans. Ani DiFranco is with Kristen Ford. She began writing songs at the age of 14. They were performed in bars and coffeehouses through her teenage years.
